Rehearsals with a Swing(le)

The last few SCC rehearsals have dusted off decades-old memories for me. In rehearsing the double chorus pieces, Fred has us singing "Ta, Ta (or Da, Da)" instead of the words. This makes sense as a good way to learn the notes and the rhythms. But it has an added effect on me. As I sit listening to the other chorus speed through the "Ta, Ta, Tas" I hear the Swingle Singers. Some of the more mature singers might know what I'm talking about. For those who don't - Google them or to hear an example, click here.
